The magic word "digitization" as such is not enough. Why? Because it only seems to address the "efficiency"-side of the coin.
Remember that famous Peter Drucker quote: “Efficiency is doing things right; effectiveness is doing the right things.” He even doubled down on this one, when he said: "There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all." So you can also digitize something that is wrong (aka that what shouldn't be done at all)- and with it the wrong becomes even more efficient. And your whole endeavor is still outdated and obsolete, but this time around more efficient, namely digital. That's why you have to scrutinize those things that worked well in the old environment - but are perhaps completely irrelevant in the new environment. So yes, the internet and computers and robots render everything more efficient - The right things and the wrong things alike.
